Dear Student,

The contents of this email contains important information to students.

As a student at our college, you have an obligation to maintain satisfactory course progress and satisfactory course attendance. If the college identifies that you fail or are at risk of not having satisfactory course progress or attendance, you will be required to complete an Intervention Strategy Plan (ISP).

What is an Intervention Strategy Plan?

An Intervention Strategy Plan is a study plan that assists students who have poor academic performance and/or poor course attendance. Delegated college personnel will provide the required support to reduce a student’s chances of academic failure.

Who does ISP apply to?

ISP is particularly important for students who failed or are at being risk of not having satisfactory course progress or attendance. Please see more information regarding satisfactory course progress or attendance at Monitoring Student Attendance and Academic Progress Policy and Procedure: https://aibtglobal.edu.au/support/student-forms/policies/.

What can I do to achieve satisfactory attendance and course progress?

To achieve satisfactory attendance and course progress, students must attend at least 80% of the scheduled contact hours for each unit of competency and demonstrate competency in at least 70% of their enrolled units. Please see more information at Monitoring Student Attendance and Academic Progress Policy and Procedure: https://aibtglobal.edu.au/support/student-forms/policies/.

What will happen if ISP is not followed?

Generally, students are expected to follow ISP strictly. However, if a student fails to comply with ISP and/or to improve course progress or attendance due to compassionate and compelling circumstances, the College may review/modify the student’s ISP. Otherwise, the failure to comply with ISP may result in issuing the Intention to Report Letter to notify Department of Home Affairs of the potential breach of student visa conditions.

Where can I learn more about ISP?

Please visit this link https://aibtglobal.edu.au/support/student-forms/forms/. Then click on Intervention Meeting & Strategy Plan Form to learn more about ISP.

Also, Please see more information at Monitoring Student Attendance and Academic Progress Policy and Procedure regarding ISP: https://aibtglobal.edu.au/support/student-forms/policies/

If you have any questions or if I can be of further assistance, please do let me know.

Best regards,

Charles
