AIBT’s ELICOS (English Language Intensive Courses for Overseas Students) courses focus on an active-learning approach and our students take a more dominant role in the classroom.
They are given tasks where the teacher acts as a facilitator and communication is based on students giving opinions and reasons for those opinions.
Using information available to IELTS examiners, we explain what examiners look for and expect.
AIBT also focus on how to get higher band scores by specifically targeting each individual student’s weaknesses.

The AIBT Entry Placement Test is given to students to assess their current level of English competency.
Paired with a verbal interview, the test places students in the appropriate English level class.
Other English language proficiency tests are taken into consideration such as IELTS, TOEFL, PTE and Cambridge English (see table).
The AIBT Entry Placement Test is used only as a guide to determine class placement.
