Education Agents who intend to facilitate the recruitment and enrolment of international students into courses offered by the College must register as an Education Agent. This registration process helps ensure transparency, accountability, and compliance with regulatory standards in the education industry.

BEFORE APPLYING

Before making an application, you must ensure that understand your obligations to be compliant with:

• Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000 (ESOS Act) and National Code 2018;
• National Code of Practice for Providers of Education and Training to Overseas Students 2018

• The Australian Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP) website (www.immi.gov.au)
• The Australian Department of Education (www.education.gov.au)

COMMUNICATION

It is a requirement of the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) that the details of education agents are published on our website and entered into the Provider Registration and International Student Management System (PRISMS). Non-compliance with these obligations is a strict liability offence.

In addition, we will use your business phone, business address and email address to advise receipt of your applications and other administrative issues relating to your business and for the purpose of urgent notification and applications.

Please keep your business contact updated at all times. AIBT will not be responsible for any delay caused by business contact change without proper notification.

ASSESSMENT OF APPLICATION

Once we have conducted reference checks and the application is approved, we will contact you and send you an agency agreement to sign. Once it is returned, you will receive a Partnership Certificate evidencing your registration.

The standard processing time for an application takes up to two weeks from the receipt of a completed application form.
