Dear all students,
I hope you are doing well during this Covid-19. There are three (3) important updates from the college.
- Maintaining satisfactory class attendance and academic progress.
The college is strictly monitoring class attendance and academic progress. Students are required to maintain satisfactory class attendance and academic progress according to Monitoring Student Attendance and Academic Progress Policy and Procedure. This is because the college would like students to complete their academic/study journey within the required timeframe.
If any student maintains unsatisfactory class attendance and academic progress, the college will enforce the requirements and penalties (e.g., warning letter and intervention strategy plan) stated in the policy and procedures.
As a result, I encourage all students to ensure that you attend the class and study hard.
Please see Monitoring Student Attendance and Academic Progress Policy and Procedure at https://aibtglobal.edu.au/support/student-forms/
2. Assessment submission
The college is now implementing new Assessment Policy and Procedures. Students are responsible for submitting assessments within the required timeframe.
What should I be aware of in this new Assessment Policy and Procedures?
Generally, a student has two chances to submit each assessment unless they are instructed by trainers. A “Not Satisfactory” result of an assessment can lead to a “Not Competent” result in the unit of competency.
With the “Not Competent” result, the student will be required to reenroll in the UoC to be provided further training and/or reassessment. A reenrollment fee can be applied to the student who reenrolls.
A “Not Competent” result can lead to unsatisfactory academic progress (e.g., warning letter and intervention strategy plan)
When will this new Assessment Policy and Procedures apply to me?
New students Existing students The Assessment Policy and Procedures will fully applied to all new student who starts after 15/05/2020. Existing students have a chance (final chance) to submit their overdue assessment until 15/06/2020. This allowance will be granted to students who studied units of competency prior to 15/05/2020 and have not submitted assessments on the due date. Existing students must comply with the assessment submission requirements stated in the new Assessment Policy and Procedures for all unit of competency starting after 15/05/2020. |
Can we apply for special consideration for the extension of assessment submission?

3. Student email

The college will no longer communicate to students with their private emails (e.g., Hotmail, Gmail, or Yahoo) unless special circumstances.
