CLINICAL PLACEMENT:

Clinical placement is an essential component of this qualification. Clinical placement consolidates the students’ knowledge within the real health environment, applying theory to practice.

Students will be required to undertake 400 clinical placement hours.

AIBT organises student placement.

Prior to attending clinical placement, students must demonstrate satisfactory course progression.

All students must be willing to undertake clinical placement in a health care facility during the program. Students are required to organise their own travel to and from these facilities and may be required to undertake placement in regional areas.

Before commencing clinical placement, students must meet the following mandatory requirements at their own expense. Students will be notified via email on when to obtain these documents:

* Please note, 80 hours of completed placement from Certificate III Individual Support can be credited towards Diploma of Nursing clinical placement hours.

This means students who have completed 120 clinical placement hours for Certificate III in Individual Support can credit 80 of those hours to their Diploma of Nursing clinical placement hours.
