Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration provides competencies to select components, install, set up, test, fault find, repair and maintain refrigeration systems and equipment that apply to food storage and preservation, air conditioning and air distribution equipment in buildings and premises. It includes regulatory requirements for purchasing and handling refrigerants.
Certificate IV in Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Servicing provides competencies in high level fault diagnosis and rectification, commissioning and maintenance of refrigeration systems and equipment that apply to commercial food storage and preservation, air-conditioning, air distribution equipment and/or special applications. It includes regulatory requirements for purchasing and handling refrigerants.
Advanced Diploma of Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Engineering provides competencies to design and validate/evaluate refrigeration and air conditioning equipment and systems, manage risk, estimate and manage projects and provide technical advice/sales. It includes regulatory requirements for purchasing and handling refrigerants. It develops competencies in the ethical and responsible application of mathematics, science, engineering techniques, Standards and Codes of Practice, engineering design practices, supervision and management of physical, human and financial resources in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning engineering.

Prior to enrolment, it is a mandatory requirement for students to complete the Student Pre-Enrolment Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) Form. After receiving and reviewing the form a consultation with our Enrolments Team, Sales Manager or Sales Agent will be scheduled where you will be provided with all the relevant course information to help guide you into making a formal decision.

AIBT – Monthly intakes except June and December
In a year, there are two study periods*:
- The 1st study period: from January to May (June Break)
- The 2nd study period: from July to November (December Break)

A minimum of IELTS 5.5 or equivalent is required.
International Students who do not meet the English language requirements for this course may undertake English Language Intensive Course for Overseas Students (ELICOS) according to the English Learning Matrix.

Before commencing placement within Diana School of Community Services, students will be required to obtain mandatory documents at their own expense. Completing all the units of competency within this qualification will lead to the issuance of a Certificate III in Air-conditioning and Refrigeration (UEE32211), Certificate IV in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Servicing (UEE42720) and Advanced Diploma of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Engineering (UEE62520) and a transcript of academic record. Students who successfully complete individual units of competency, but not the whole qualification, will be eligible to receive a Statement of Attainment detailing the completed units.
AIBT does not guarantee that:
- completion of an AIBT qualification will lead to an employment outcome; or
- a learner will successfully complete a training product on its scope of registration; or
- a training product can be completed in a manner which does not meet the requirements of the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015.
