Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration provides competencies to select components, install, set up, test, fault find, repair and maintain refrigeration systems and equipment that apply to food storage and preservation, air conditioning and air distribution equipment in buildings and premises. It includes regulatory requirements for purchasing and handling refrigerants.
Certificate IV in Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Servicing provides competencies in high level fault diagnosis and rectification, commissioning and maintenance of refrigeration systems and equipment that apply to commercial food storage and preservation, air-conditioning, air distribution equipment and/or special applications. It includes regulatory requirements for purchasing and handling refrigerants.
Advanced Diploma of Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Engineering provides competencies to design and validate/evaluate refrigeration and air conditioning equipment and systems, manage risk, estimate and manage projects and provide technical advice/sales. It includes regulatory requirements for purchasing and handling refrigerants. It develops competencies in the ethical and responsible application of mathematics, science, engineering techniques, Standards and Codes of Practice, engineering design practices, supervision and management of physical, human and financial resources in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning engineering.

A minimum of IELTS 5.5 or equivalent is required.
International Students who do not meet the English language requirements for this course may undertake English Language Intensive Course for Overseas Students (ELICOS) according to the English Learning Matrix.

Completing all the units of competency within this qualification will lead to the issuance of a Certificate III in Air-conditioning And Refrigeration (UEE32211), Certificate IV in Air Conditioning And Refrigeration (UEE42720) and Advanced Diploma of Air-conditioning And Refrigeration Engineering (UEE62511) including a transcript of all completed units. Students that successfully complete individual units of competency, but not the whole qualification, will be eligible to receive a Statement of Attainment detailing the completed units.
